Del-Rose Performance Guidlines

  1. Director & Music Committee will rewiew current music (for performances) list every 3 months. This list will be published to the members to let the singers know what thwy are expected to be current on.
  2. Two weeks prior to a performance members will be expected to have passed the songs for the performance. Singer will be asked to not sing songs that are not passed ( may mouth the words to "stay in the game")
  3. Members will be able to check the section book, during any rehearsal, to see what songs are passed and what songs still need to be worked on/re-taped for the section leader. The section book will be separated by section and members listed by music number only.
  4. If you have missed 2 or more rehearsals consecutively prior to a performance, even if you have passed all the songs, you must go to the performance director for approval to sing.
  5. Members asked to not sing a song will be encouraged to participate by announcing the song. All songs willhave a "canned" introduction that can be used by anyone at any time, therefore making it easy for any member to do the emceeing
  6. We realize that new members cannot be expected to be totally passed on all the songs that the chorus is currently singing. New members are encouraged to talk to the director and let her know what songs they are comfortable with so we know how many voices are singing and that those particular songs are included in the program if at all possible. During the christmas season , it is also okay, with director approval, to have a folder of the christmas music to make it easier on the new singers.
  7. As always, the director has the final approval of who sings in performances.
